ABOUT JEFFRY
I trained at Academy of Art University in San Francisco earning a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Photography.
I also assist other professional commercial photographers and teams to continually grow my experience and skillset. I’ve been the regular Photo Assistant for a commercial photographer with 15 years experience, working on shoots for clients such as GM, Sutter Health, and FasTrak.
Before my career in Photography I worked in partnerships, business development, and recruiting for startups in SF, NYC, and Washington DC and served 8 years in the US Army.
My work is focused on product and lifestyle photography for brands, but I still enjoy shooting portraits and events.
I like it because it allows me to create images, and not just take photographs of what’s happening. It allows me to be an intentional image maker.
I still shoot portraits, events, and engagements to continue to practice and refine my technique and style for commercial work.
My style is clean, minimal, and modern, using the latest lighting and post-processing techniques to create impactful images.
I find zen and flow while shooting and editing, it’s part of what I love about it…or maybe I just like being OCD and arranging things perfectly! Either way there’s something about it that just fits with my personality.
I shoot with a Nikon z7ii tethered to a computer, with Profoto lighting ensuring color accuracy of your product from capture to output with professional calibration tools.
I perfect the image with high end retouching techniques in Photoshop, often using compositing and 3D rendering to create unique sets, textures, and imagery.
